The 1966 Mustang GT Special Edition

Based in Somerset, NJ, Jeff Gordon has served as the managing partner of J & G Lubrication Co. since 1990. Jeff Gordon is a man of many interests and lists car restoration as one of his favorite hobbies. He is the proud owner of a 1966 Mustang that he restored and modified in Somerset, NJ. The car has won several awards at car shows and cruise nights.

The 1966 Mustang is an iconic Ford design. It was such a huge hit when it came out that over 600,000 units of the model were sold, outselling its nearest rival, the Chevy Impala, almost two to one. The 1966 Mustang's popularity continued to persist years after it was released, and in fact, it is still the best-selling Mustang of all time.

Due to its popularity, Ford created three special editions of the 1966 Mustang, one of which was the GT. Mustang GTs have more powerful V-8 engines, which were upgraded from the standard Mustang V-8. In addition to the engine upgrade, the 1966 Mustang GT had different, flashier trim, a new gas cap, and racing stripes.
